The Fable of Birds and Tortoise

Once upon a time, there was a big feast in the sky, all the birds were invited to a feast by the people of the sky. Tortoise was very clever and very hungry and as soon as it heard about the great feast, it began to plan how it would travel to the sky.

Tortoise went to the birds home and asked if it could go with them. The birds agreed and they each give it a feather, with which it made a pair of wings for the Tortoise.

Dongeng Burung dan Kura-kura

Pada suatu hari, tersebutlah sebuah pesta besar diadakan di langit, semua burung diundang ke pesta oleh orang-orang dari langit. Kura-kura sangat pintar dan sangat lapar dan begitu mendengar tentang pesta besar, ia mulai merencanakan rencana bagaimana agar ia bisa pergi ke langit.

Kura-kura pun menuju ke rumah burung dan bertanya apakah itu bisa pergi bersama mereka. Para burung pun setuju dan mereka masing-masing meminjamkan bulu, agar bisa dibuat sepasang sayap untuk Kura-kura.

Hari besar pun tiba, Kura-kura dan burung-burung berangkat pada ke langit.

Akhirnya, burung-burung dan kura-kura tiba di pesta itu. Orang-orang dari langit yang mengundang burung-burung untuk ikut berpesta telah menyiapkan banyak makanan lezat. Sang Kura-kura pun bertanya, "Untuk siapa kau mempersiapkan pesta ini?"

"Untuk kalian, karena kalian adalah hewan spesial," jawab orang-orang di langit.

Kura-kura berpaling pada burung dan berkata, "Ingat aku adalah hewan paling spesial, karena akulah satu-satunya kura-kura yang bisa terbang, jadi kalian baru boleh makan setelah aku selesai makan. "

Burung-burung pun menunggu Kura-kura makan dan minum di pesta itu penuh dengan kemarahan. Kemudian mereka maju ke depan untuk makan, tapi beberapa dari mereka terlalu marah untuk makan. Sebelum terbang pulang, burung masing-masing mengambil kembali bulu yang telah dipinjamkan kepada Kura-kura tanpa disadari oleh Kura-kura. Ketika pesta sudah usai, burung-burung dan kura-kura pun melompat pulang. Aku ambil burungnya. Aku usap pada kepala kecilnya. Akhirnya, aku membiarkannya terbang. Burung itu bernyanyi dengan begitu keras. Burung itu terbangt tinggi di angkasa. Aku berteriak pada burung itu,”Pergilah… Dan temukan keluargamu.”

There was an old school teacher who liked to drink wine. He always kept several bottles of good wine in his mouth. As he had to go out one day, he was worried that his servant would drink his wine. Then he thought of a way to stop him from doing so.

“I am going out for the day,” he told his servant. “Please look after the house for me. There is some ham and two bottles of water in the cupboard. There is also a chicken in the kitchen.
